Starting off with hole saws, these are great tools, they make excellent quality holes and come in a wide variety of sizes but they can take a LOT of effort to push them into some woods, but here's an easy way to use them ...

Bad Ideas in Woodworking Episode 2 / Workshop Fails

The internet is full of information on woodworking and not all of it is good information. You really need to look at things to see if they are going to be good, or if they are going to be problematic, or even worse ... dangerous to your well being. What I often see are pictures or descriptions of processes or ideas that are put forward on one website, then replicated on many others, and none of them seem to figure out that what they are replicating is not a very good idea at all.

That's why I like to explain things because that way people who watch my videos get a much better idea how things work and why something might not be such a great idea after all ...

Sliding Mitre Saw Hacks / Tips & Tricks on the Sliding Miter Saw

I can fondly remember the day my old radial arm saw died. I hated that dangerous saw and too every advantage to upgrading to a sliding miter saw that was long overdue. Since then, I can't believe how dependent I have become on my sliding mitre saw. I make sure it is aligned and it gives me excellent quality cuts every time, but there are a few things I have learned over time to get even more from it.

Once a sliding miter saw is set up and aligned to give you perfect, accurate cuts, they save so much time, but .. they still have limitations, and there are few things you can do to make them even better ...

Some workshop tips that I use are old, old, old ... I have been using them for many years without giving too much thought to them but to many others, they are new ideas, but even more, they are ideas with others that can trigger new ideas, that they then share with me and we end up learning from one another ...

Some workshop tricks when you look at them they look easy, then when you try them,  they don't work, and that's because some of them require a tiny bit tweaking that sometimes is left untold ... and such is the case with vice grip saw blade hack ...
