My grand dad was a stick carver and I always admired his craft but I'm more of a powertools guy myself. However, I've taken some of his hand carvings and duplicated them with my carvewright (cheating I know) and handed them the family members. They were so well reproduced that my family thought I had done it : P Of course then I have to admit that I didn't do it myself since I'm honest.

When I was younger my dad and I did a little "stick carving". We made fishing poles and used them. Caught a few bass with them, dad got the biggest ones .
