I was at the local wood store about 2 months ago & they had Curly Maple on sale. So I decided now was the time to build my oldest Grand Daughter a jewelry box. She has been asking for one lately so I thought I would give it a try. Finished with red Chestnut stain & 4 coats of water based poly.

Yes they are a pure labor of love Glen. I have made several for the store and people really enjoy the attention to detail and finishing. They of course have no idea of how many hours are spent sanding and layering finish goes into it. They sure appreciate the end results though. :) That's the best part of it. :) Happy recipients.
