Features EC-TEC® brushless motor technology - a permanent magnet, remotely commutated 3-phase AC motor. This same type of motor is used in robotic systems and CNC machines, where tremendous torque, speed and durability are needed. The C12 gearbox features an integral shaft lock, which makes it impossible to rotate the motor by turning the chuck. This means that changing bits with the keyless chuck is a simple one-handed operation; there is no need to waste battery life by using the motor to tighten the chuck. The C12 is available with your choice of three different batteries. The higher the amp-hour (Ah) rating, the longer the battery will last. The lower the amp-hour rating, the lighter it will weigh. - Two magnetic channels provide convenient onboard bit storage.
