I built my box 10" X 10" inside for doing larger diameters.
And for Debarking logs for turning on my wood lathe's.

By adding a AC geared stepper motor like this one

Heavy Duty C-Frame Gearbox Motor 115V 65 Rpm

you will be able to turn the wooden stock & keep both hands on the Router.

You will need to construct a stand for the motor so the shaft and 3/8" drive rod matches up.[/b]

I like this idea, and I like Dave's other use, which is using it to de-bark and size larger pieces that can then be put on a lathe when all the hard tough work is done by the router ... nicely done !!!

This would be a great jig for production work.

Why wear out the Bearing in your Lathe when you can get the piece rounded to a cylinder and remove the bark at the same time, it only makes since, who wants to repair a tool when you can build a simple jig to extend the life of a TOOL.
